Elsie Christian (16.7.1914 - 3.6.2014 - almost 100) enjoyed music throughout her life and was a proficient pianist and occasional church organist. She started and conducted a Junior Choir at Berkhamsted Baptist Church during the 50's and 60's and trained children for Sunday School Anniversaries and local events. During the 80's she accompanied a 'Concert Party group' entertaining local clubs. Whilst she had a formal training as a pianist, she could not only read music, but she could also play 'by ear' any style of music that caught her musical imagination. Elsie encouraged her daughters and grandchildren to play musical instruments and many happy hours during many decades were spent listening to her playing the piano. Family and friends donate in her memory trusting the youth of tomorrow will enjoy all forms of music as much as she did.
